Carey was once a popular fashion model. She's 5'10" tall and was very sought-after by the high-end American designers, such as Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, etc. In 1979 the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists voted the father of her Scientist of The Year. Carey is a resident of all over the world as a result his career. As she attended the University of Colorado at part-time, she caught the interest of the Ford model Agency representative in New York. Her move to France in 1980 and lived for a short time in Paris and Bordeaux before returning home to New York to continue with her education at college and build a modeling career. When she began studying acting at the Neighborhood Playhouse, New York, her interest in the field grew. In 1986 she began her career in acting with a minor part as a minor character in "Club Paradise" in the film "Club Paradise" with Robin Williams. She spends her free time ski, white-water rafting rock climbing, and wind-surfing.
