Maureen FitzSimons' early achievements in performing arts (now called Maureen O'Hara), would have placed her, at least in the eyes of America, into the class of child prodigies. As a person with Irish roots, surrounded as her by talented parents and family did this naturally. Maureen was welcomed into the family-oriented home on the 17th of August 20 in Ranelagh. Marguerita FitzSimons' mom, Lilburn, was an contralto. Charles FitzSimons owned the Shamrock Rovers soccer team in Ireland and ran the Shamrock Rovers soccer club and a Dublin business. Maureen FitzSimons' was the second FitzSimons children. Peggy FitzSimons Florrie Charles B. Fitzsimons Margot Fitzsimons James O'Hara made up this family. Maureen loved playing rough sporting games in her youth and excelled at sports. She combined this interest with an equally natural talent for performing. This was apparent that she was the winner of every Feis for theatre and drama that Ireland had to offer. In her 14th year she joined an organization called the Abbey Theater to follow her dream and study operatic and classical vocals.
