Jana Kramer bio
Jana Kramer gained fame as an actress, country-pop musician and songwriter, when she was a character on the television show One Tree Hill. She played Alex for three of its season's final seasons. The first three albums she released as a country singer were featured on episodes of the show that helped her debut album, titled "Eponymous," into the Top 20 of the Billboard 200. Her follow-up album from 2015's Thirty One reached the Top Ten. She finished out the decade with appearances in Dancing with the Stars and in several TV movies alongside a series of non-album singles. Voices is a self-doubting record released in 2021. Jana Rae Kramer is a Michigan native that was raised in the country genre. While she was pursuing the acting and recording professions however, her screen debut took place in the independent horror film Dead/Undead (2002) when she was still at high school. Over the years she was on numerous series, including All My Children and CSI: NY before landing the part as Noelle Davenport in NBC's Friday Night Lights in the second season (2007-2008). Kramer would go on to portray Portia Ranson in 90210 (2008-2009) and Brooke Manning, in Entourage (2009) prior to when she was cast in One Tree Hill by the CW as Alex Dupre. Kramer remained with the One Tree Hill team until about half-way through the finale season (2012). Jana Kramer Kramer was a star of One Tree Hill from 2009 through 2012. She had signed an agreement in 2009 with Elektra Records, and she released her modern country-inspired song I Won't Give up during an One Tree Hill 2011 episode. Later, in 2012, the song was released on Jana Kramer - her first album. The song reached in the Top Five on the Billboard Top Country Albums Chart. She continued acting in movies such as Heart of the Country 2013 or Country Crush 2016 which would attract her followers. In October 2015, Kramer released thirty One from Warner Music Nashville. The Top Five Country Hit I Got the Boy, and her duo track that Steven Tyler and Aerosmith performed with helped it to reach number 3 in the Billboard 200 and number 10 on the charts for country albums. Beginning in September of 2016 the singer was a part of two weeks on the season 23 of Dancing with the Stars, which ended with an overall fourth-place finish. In the same year, she had a huge adult contemporary hit song called Straight No Chaser's Feels Like Christmas.
